Patryk P. Tomaszewski

I am Ph.D. candidate in art history at the CUNY Graduate Center, an Adjunct Instructor of art history at Fordham University, and a Joan Tisch Teaching Fellow at the Whitney Museum of American Art.

My research encompasses global twentieth-century realisms, art under totalitarian regimes, and histories of exhibitions in Europe and the United States during the Cold War. My work has been supported by grants from the Kosciuszko Foundation in New York, the Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies and through the B. Altman Foundation Dissertation Fellowship from CUNY Graduate Center. My writing has appeared in ArtMargins Online and the The Museum of Modern Art’s post. notes on art in global context, among other publications.
